This Warranty Policy applies to products purchased through karga.com.au and is provided by Karga Lab Pty Ltd. This policy outlines the manufacturer’s warranty offered in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in this warranty limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
WARRANTY COVERAGE
Karga Lab Pty Ltd provides a limited manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
Complete bicycle frames are covered by a warranty period of two (2) years from the date of original purchase.
Non-wear components supplied by Karga Lab Pty Ltd are covered by a warranty period of twelve (12) months from the date of original purchase.
Accessories and soft goods are covered by a warranty period of six (6) months from the date of original purchase.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
This warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from misuse, neglect, crashes, overloading, improper assembly, incorrect installation, unauthorised modifications, commercial use, or use outside intended conditions.
Normal wear and tear is not covered under warranty. Wear items include, but are not limited to, tyres, tubes, brake pads, chains, cables, grips, bearings, finishes, coatings, and consumable components.
Cosmetic damage, including scratches, scuffs, paint wear, or finish variation that does not affect performance, is not covered.
IMPROPER USE AND LOAD LIMITS
Use of bicycles and cargo systems involves inherent risk. Damage or failure resulting from exceeding stated load limits, improper cargo securing, or use contrary to provided instructions or applicable road laws is not covered under this warranty.
WARRANTY REMEDIES
If a defect covered by this warranty is confirmed, Karga Lab Pty Ltd will, at its discretion, repair the product, replace the product or affected part, or provide a refund. Replaced parts may be new or refurbished.
Warranty remedies do not extend the original warranty period.
WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS
To make a warranty claim, customers must contact Karga Lab Pty Ltd with proof of purchase, a description of the issue, and photographic or video evidence where requested.
We may require assessment by a qualified professional or return of the product or component for inspection before approving a warranty claim.
SHIPPING AND LABOUR
If a warranty claim is approved, reasonable shipping costs associated with returning the defective item may be covered at our discretion. Labour costs associated with installation, removal, or third-party servicing are not covered unless expressly agreed in writing.
LIMITATIONS
This warranty applies only to products purchased directly from Karga Lab Pty Ltd or an authorised seller. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
